GB VETS CLAIM 18 MEDALS
AT THE 2ND EUROPEAN MASTERS
PORTO, PORTUGAL, 1/4 SEPTEMBER 2011.

Over 300 players competed for glory in the 2nd European Masters in a rather overcast Porto, Portugal 1/4 September. Whilst the UK basked in relative heat and sun the changeable weather in Porto helped to cool down some very hot courts and produce some very worthy medal winners – 18 out of a total GB Vets contingent of 28.

Chairman John Woodliffe has achieved a unique grand slam – Mens O70 World and now European Champion together with the British Open and Closed titles. His son Mark won the European O50 title and the British Open Masters title in Nottingham earlier this year.
